FiFi: The Multifunctional Dog Collar with a Detachable Necklace

A Luxurious and Versatile Accessory for Fashionable Dogs

For years, Frida Hulten has been creating necklaces and collars for dogs, observing how comfortable and happy most dogs are when wearing a necklace. However, she noticed a common inconvenience - the collar had to be removed when the necklace was put on. Determined to find a solution, Frida designed FiFi, a multifunctional dog collar that combines practicality and fashion.

What sets FiFi apart is its detachable necklace feature. Made from high-quality leather with a solid brass buckle, D ring, and two smaller D rings riveted with a swivel head, the collar itself exudes luxury and sophistication. The necklace, attached with a toggle bar in brass connected to a solid copper chain, hangs beautifully from the collar.

FiFi's necklace is adorned with solid brass beads, turquoise, aventurine, chrysocolla, garnet, glass beads, and Swarovski crystals, adding a touch of glamour to any dog's appearance. The collar, even without the necklace, maintains its luxurious feel and can be worn at all times.

One of the key challenges Frida faced during the design process was creating a secure attachment for the necklace while ensuring the dog's comfort and freedom of movement. After careful consideration, she developed a simple yet effective mechanism that allows the necklace to stay in place while the dog moves around.

The FiFi dog collar measures 390mm in length and 25mm in width, while the necklace measures 230mm in length and 140mm in width. These specifications ensure a comfortable fit for dogs of various sizes.

FiFi is the result of Frida's extensive research and discussions with dog owners. By combining her expertise in creating dog collars and necklaces since 2007, she has crafted a unique and versatile accessory that meets the preferences and demands of both dogs and their owners.

The initial idea for FiFi was conceived in March 2016, and the finished product was completed by September 27th, 2018. Since then, FiFi has garnered recognition and acclaim, winning the Iron A' Design Award in the Pet Care, Toys, Supplies, and Products for Animals category in 2019. This prestigious award acknowledges FiFi's exceptional design, practicality, and innovation.
